A Small Biography

Isabel Albuerne, also known as “The Event Lady", began her South Florida Event Planner and Wedding Consultant career in 1985. She initiated in the special event industry with her first Miami based company, “The Wedding and Party Corner, Inc.” At this brick and mortar store location, she sold invitations and pretty wedding accessories, planned hundreds of elegant weddings, and quinceañera parties, produced several bridal shows, and coordinated beautiful quince celebrations on the East Coast in Miami, Florida.

In 2002 she brought her expertise and creativity to the West Coast of Florida, where she reorganized her company in Naples, under the name Florida Weddings and Special Events, Inc. Once more she dedicated herself to the planning of romantic sunset beach weddings and splendid sweet fifteen celebrations for years. Naples and Ft. Myers weddings and quince continued to be "The Event Lady's specialty!

In 2004,  Isabel decided to share her knowledge with brides and quinceañeras in Florida by launchingg the first, bilingual quince and bridal print magazine of SW Florida's Naples-Fort Myers area. This was the year she began using The Event Lady as a service mark in the industry. Her bilingual print magazine was exclusively designed for the diverse wedding and quinceañera market of her communities. This wedding and quince resource-directory guide, offered valuable information and resources in print. The first quarterly magazine print publication printed in 2006 and ran till 2009; a total of ten issues, which now can be seen on the web on Scribd.
 

2010 marked the beginning of a new venture, the Miss Florida Quince Pageant and Expo, in association with Somos Magazine, another Florida Hispanic owned publication. Isabel produced two pageants for local quinceañeras, tone in Fort Myers, and the second in the historic city of St. Augustine at the beautiful Casa Monica Boutique Hotel.

In 2011 she began a strong social media campaign, cementing her brand as a trendsetter in the local wedding industry with her online contributions. She is the sole webmaster of this very visible wedding and quince portal, that continues to dedicate it's content to the sharing of new ideas and ways to assist in the planning of weddings and quinceanera events for all the brides and quince girls wanting resources in the Sunshine State.

The Event Lady retired from active event planning in 2012. She continued publishing and sharing content ONLINE Magazine, plus now proudly offers her very own Online Store at: THEEVENTLADYSTORE.COM 

At present in 2024. Isabel Albuerne knows that this new age of technology definitely requires an online presence, something that can be time consuming for the business person who is out there working their business all day. Since The Event Lady is retired from active work in the field; she now offers services to like minded Florida businesses, who need help with graphic designing for their small business or start-up venture needs, such as  logos, business cards, flyers, websites and social media content management.

Although The Event Lady is totally retired from event Coordination and Officiant services, she has been the professional of choice of many Florida events. She organized and emceed many beautiful receptions in Miami South Beach, Naples, Marco Island, Ft. Myers, Estero, Bonita Beach, Cape Coral, Punta Gorda, Port Charlotte, Sanibel or Captiva Islands, these will forever be unforgettable. The Event Lady believes all of South Florida is a magical wedding destination. She shares a strong passion for the special event industry... the popular Hispanic Cultural Quinceañera celebrations, and a genuine desire to share resources for brides, quinceañeras and any consumer that needs to plan the most incredible festivities in Florida.
