Erasable Ceramics for Wedding or Quince Keepsakes

What a useful concept! Erasable ceramic Placecards or Menus for your special events. The Event Lady takes pleasure in sharing a great personalized reception item called PlaceTiles.

These ceramic tiles were the brainchild of Kristin Bowen in 1998, when in the planning of her own wedding; she decided to add a finishing touch to her guest tables at her bridal reception. Today the extensive line offers napking rings, buffet cards, wine tags, gift tags, and so much more!

This placecard design is a useful, erasable small ceramic tablet where you can write your guests' names, another form of usage is to describe each dish being served at your wedding brunch or buffet line. They come in a variety of styles to fit any reception's theme, such as the Medallion, Fleur-de-Lis, Vine, Shell and more. They certainly add a lovely detail to any elegant party.

Placetiles also offers a ceramic tablet design, which you can use to write down your Menu for a bridal shower, wedding luncheon or reception formal  dinner. In addition, these items actually serve a dual purpose, and can be kept as a beautiful memento of the bridal couple's special day, and great for a princess quinceañera celebration as well.

No more cheap paper placecards or plastic tags! PlaceTiles can now give the VIP treatment to all your guests.

They retail for $35 for a set of 6, and can be purchased online at, or you may also contact them via telephone at: 678-467-4776

Your Wedding Cake Can Have Some Balls!

Edda's Cake Designs is known for creating unique edible art for any social event, especially bridal receptions and quinceañera celebrations; today she remains one of the leaders of the Florida regional cake industry. She has been featured in many local and national bridal magazines and now The Event Lady of Florida Weddings and Special Events features one of her latest products, "cake balls."

That's right my fellow readers, your wedding cake definitely can have some balls!

Picture Courtesy of Edda's Cake Designs

We've all had traditional wedding cake, cupcakes, cake cookies, groom's cake, but wedding cake balls? Now that's a daring treat! These small delicacies come in vanilla, chocolate, red velvet (my favorite) and guava flavor.

As Edda's Cake Designs states these are, “Big Taste in a Small Bite." They can be served in party trays at your quince party, gift boxed as wedding favors or gifts, and ultimately, ingeniously used to create your pyramid style wedding ball cake. Therefore I think, rightly stated...a cake with balls!

Edda's Cake Designs has been around for over 30 years, and is efficiently managed by a family, who loves all about tasty baking. Their growth rate since 1978 has been amazing, from a business which began in Edda's home kitchen, to presently operating four showrooms in South Miami, Coral Gables, the busy Doral area, and Pembroke Pines. They proudly offer these convenient locations to serve their loyal Florida's tropical clientele, reaching most of Dade County and now Broward County as well.

Florida Weddings and Special Events Weblog
The Event Lady's blog posts are focused on the wedding, sweet sixteen and quince/sweet fifteen
celebrations of Florida, we love to hear about many other social events happening in our own Florida communities.

A quince celebration is very much like a wedding reception; it is a traditional coming of age celebration in a young woman's life within the Hispanic culture.
The Event Lady is an expert in both weddings and quinceañera events, and feeling proud of her Cuban heritage; enjoys this very special niche of the special event industry. Quinces parties have very similar planning needs to a wedding event.

We invite Florida brides and quinceañeras of all nationalities to comment on our blogs, each one has a small cooment link on the bottom of each post.

We also invite wedding photographers to tell us about their great events; submit event images with your website credit on them of course on the lower right hand corner
so you can share bridal ideas and savvy wedding tips.

We invite any wedding and quince professionals to inform us about the latest industry news, useful articles and product updates.

We will review your submissions, and if we feel they could be good for this blog, then post them up for you so that the readers;
most importantly our Floridian brides, quince and sweet sixteen girls,
will have additional resources for their event coordination within our tropical Sunshine State region.
